Something/Anything?
Todd Rundgren
Something/Anything? was truly an experience, with each track being just as unique as the last. The instrumentation across all of the songs mixed in with the dialogue between the session band makes you feel like you're in the studio with them. Rundgren begins the album with undoubtedly his Magnus Opus: I Saw the Light. However, I saw the Light is not the only song that shines, there are gems all throughout the record. The only drawback for me is that I felt as though some songs pushed the envelope too far, and weren't pleasant to listen to

Led Zeppelin III
Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin are one of the few bands in rock history that are ubiquitous with rock; with each project being just as iconic as the last. led Zeppelin III is no exception: the combination of Plant's dynamic range, Page's blues injected riffs, Bonham's heavy fills, and Jones' perfectly serving basslines creates the perfect blues rock album. Led Zeppelin III opens up with the iconic guitar part from Immigrant Song, but the real gem of the entire album is found in the latter half of it when Page's magical acoustic guitar shines next to Plant's vocals.

Franz Ferdinand
Franz Ferdinand
There are moments when this album reaches a 5 but the inconsistencies between tracks makes it a 3 for me. "Take me out" is undoubtedly the band's most popular (arguably best) song; apart from Take Me Out, Dark of the Matinee, Michael, and Jacqueline were some standout tracks.

Gentle on my mind is incredible, no matter who is singing. Just a great blues record

Dirt
Alice In Chains
Very compelling album, normally not an avid listener of grunge and heavier music but I thoroughly enjoyed many of the tracks. The beginning of the record features some incredible guitar work, but towards the latter half of the album, the quality just drops off for me.
