Enjoyed this album! Brings to mind elevator music but with an upbeat twist. Not my usual genre of choice - but I'm tempted to look more into psychedelic soul/progressive soul because of it. Enjoyed it so much it felt like a quick listen even though it was over an hour in length. Might revisit later.
High points were oye como va and black magic woman but that's due in part to nostalgia. When listening to the rest of the songs on the album I flipped from enjoyment to restlessness. I couldn't find myself matching the pace of a few of the songs and it did dampen the listening experience. Probably won't revisit- not my favorite Santana work
Really enjoying the instrumentals and melody for each of these tracks! Maybe I'm just partial to Elton John but with the album opener of Tiny Dancer and the next track being Levon I was open to the rest of the tracks I was hearing for the first time. And overall I really enjoyed each one! Will revisit this album in the future - maybe not for a deep listen but as a nice backing track when going about my day.
I can appreciate what they were doing and what it was for the time it was created but it's not my cup of tea
