1001 Albums Summary

Really eclectic mix of sounds, I really enjoyed the explosivity of it along with the really simple melodies at its heart. Songs were a little long though, kind of a general problem of that era. I don't mind a long song but you have to have enough to say to fill the time, I don't need to hear 2-3 more choruses.

I like Neil Young, I really do. People who say he's basic are forgetting that he is the forefather of a lot of great grunge music. That said, I cannot abide a 10 minute song. I'm sure it was cool to make on whatever drugs Neil Young was on, and I bet it would be cool to listen to on those drugs, but it was too much for sober me on my commute.
