1001 Albums Summary

Bit bland for my taste. Kept waiting for it to kick up a notch but never did. There’s a few moments where it turns slightly sinister, but not often or for long enough. The whole thing put me in mind of a 70s sitcom… Will probably never revisit.

Second album of my project and this is infinitely more like it for me. Love the originality and creativity. His voice is great and the writing is tremendous.

Great musicianship but got bored…

Yes! Perfection from start to finish. The juxtaposition of the classic big band music with Amy’s angsty lyrics and rich, effortless vocals make this an instant classic for me. Will revisit often. Such a shame we never got to hear her evolve as an artist.
