Initially, I was not fond of the idea of listening to Johnny Cash. After listening to Bridge Over Troubled Water my opinion started to change with the smoothness of his voice. Not something I'd usually listen to, but it was a warm sentiment while it lasted. I can feel the pain of his life in his voice as he sings with heart and soul. At the midpoint of the album, it takes a happier tone compared to the first 4 songs. When 'Danny Boy' comes around, you can feel the album coming to a close. This feels extremely melancholic, as it's the last of Johnny's published work while he was alive. I enjoyed my listening experience, especially with the ending of We'll Meet Again a perfect ending to Johnny's music career and life.
