1001 Albums Summary

(do they start everyone off with this album lmao?) Maybe not surprisingly for me, this is extremely competent pop album and right up my alley (if slightly too polished). Eminently listenable earworms, consistent over a highly collaborative effort (I recognized Guy Sigsworth's fingerprint immediately on "What It Feels Like For A Girl".)

a classic! i was just thinking of guy sigsworth's influence on _Music_ and feel like in turn he was influenced by "Venus As A Boy." i feel like the 90s were an extremely fruitful and productive time in pop music. i have always liked the way she enunciates "C" as "ch" or always uses the soft "G" in her vocals. obviously a huge influence but i think it's really bjork's vocals that turn her albums into a masterpiece. some songs i've noticed: violently happy, one day (reminds me of orbital)
