The Renaissance by Q-Tip
Dec 04 2025

GREAT ALBUM. Always love soulful samples like this. Songs do kinda get worse in quality after move :( pros: great instrumentals, good flow, polished and innovative production cons: the second half of the album is bad (womp)

Tapestry by Carole King
Dec 05 2025

The first 3 seconds or so of a Carole King track are magical. Feels like coming home every time. Amazing grooves, amazing vocals, amazing songwriting. Just superb. Also insane that Merry Clayton, AND James Taylor, AND JONI MITCHELL??? THEYRE ALL ON THIS ALBUM?!?? Incredible. Little bit of album drag, nothing crazy. Just some of the tracks like you’ve got a friend, and beautiful, don’t grab me as much as some of the other material. I also find the title track a little cheesy. After hearing the very aptly placed closing track, all I have to say is that this album is amazing. Pros: amazing production, songwriting, vocal performance, general vibes Cons: slowish middle, not my fav title track, and the album can feel a little samey as a whole.

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
Dec 07 2025

It’s good! I hadn’t realized how closely early Black Sabbath resembled some 60s/70s era bands, like zeppelin, cream, and others. All the members have great chemistry here, and the riffs are insane. Ozzy does some great vocals and the bassist is great as well. The drummer really surprised me, I heard a lot of jazz and alternative genres in his playing. The thing is, it’s not my jam. I feel like the jammy 14 minute tracks are just not my thing from these dudes. The only song I really saved was Wizard. Pros: great riffs, good musicianship early sabbath is historically important Cons: jam tracks are boring, the shorter tracks are good but still too long, the opening track is not my fav but it established the vibe for Black Sabbath’s career which is important.

We Are Family by Sister Sledge
Mar 14 2026

album intro long af but dope. good vibes. Saved thinking of you, lost in music, and he's the greatest dancer. obv I have heard we are family before, its a good song but its overplayed now.
