1001 Albums Summary

I enjoyed the use of guitar within the album, I also really enjoyed the social messaging of some of the songs. The title track of course is amazing, however my favourite song has to be money for nothing. I really enjoyed the perspective of the song, as though a working class person is mad at the “faggot” even though it’s the system that he is mad at and i think dire straights play on that amazingly. Such an easy listen, and also one that you can blast fully through your headphones to really rock out to and feel the music in ur soul. Loved it.

Not my type of music, i enjoy the use of different instruments and the the dual language aspect to some of the songs. the songs all sound okay, nothing particularly stood out to me. The first half of the album is better than the second half.

My first introduction to Bob Dylan and it was pretty good. I enjoyed the country instruments that join with the strong guitar. The stand out song for me was Bob Dylan’s 115th dream.
