Foo Fighters by Foo Fighters
Dec 12 2025

This one was a bit puzzling to me. While it is certainly impressive that Dave Grohl recorded the entire album by himself, it feels weirdly uninspired and generic. The sound, while being very load and energetic, feels very one note and makes the songs bleed together in my brain where it's hard to remember any standout songs on their own, save for Weenie Beenie. It lacks a lot of the defining style and songwriting chops of later Foo Fighters tracks that would eventually come out as well as other projects Grohl would later be a part of. Overall, not a terrible listening experience, but nothing really noteworthy or interesting on it's own and honestly, if it was released by anyone else other than Grohl I feel like it would have been quickly forgotten about. Favorite Track - Weenie Beenie

Aqualung by Jethro Tull
Dec 13 2025

This one is one of my favorites. I first listened to this album when I was about 10, and 23 years later it still hits as hard as when I first heard it. It's a triumph of a folk rock album and it's influence can be heard through bands and projects that followed it. Lots of variety can be heard through jams like Aqualung and Hymn 43, and also softer songs like Wond'ring Aloud. Just overall an absolute master class of classic rock. Favorite Song - Up to Me
