1001 Albums Summary

Very enjoyable record and my first exposure to Judas Priest's music beyond their 3 biggest hits. Just straightforward, peak cockrock and just a really fun listen. Beyond the 2 big hits, some surprising highlights were "The Rage" and "Metal Gods". If not for the inclusion of the out-of-place "United" which is a stinker, a near-perfect record.

An album I was very familiar with upon its release, but had not been in the rotation for many years. It was better than I remember it being, but a bit bloated. Some weak tracks that aren't bad, just simply don't live up to the peaks of the record. I understand the importance of the lyricism on this record, but Good Kid m.A.A.d. City is a record I enjoy more.
