1001 Albums Summary

Starts off strong with the classic ‘immigrant song’ then everything else… kinda falls off in comparison of where the first song leaves you. I didn’t expect this to be more acoustic than not but it doesn’t really work. Put it on in the background from working and no songs really stuck out besides the only song that is starred on Apple Music, immigrant song.

Never listened to them before and really really liked this record. The social polical commentary was really telling of the times, and still continue to this day. Heard this the week of the fatal ICE shootings… and yeah… killing in the name

I audibly said “oh hell yeah” when this one popped up today. I love sigur rós. Wonderful album to relive anxiety. The ever classic 10 minute ‘svefn-g-englar’ speaks for itself. I did a meditation to this and felt relieved. Their music breaks the language barrier and everyone from across the world is able to appreciate their music, even without knowing what’s being said, it’s being understood.

This is goth rock. I’ve listened to so many other goth rock records but never the source so every song I heard sounded like one I had heard from a lesser known band, little did I know this is the original source material
