First song is Not my cup of tea.. Too American and too daddyish. I felt kind of bored through the first song, as if I was a kid sleeping in between two chairs at mom and dad’s friends wedding at 4am. I skipped cause : booriiiiiing. Second one is Money For Nothing and it is the most Man🦅🍺🏍️🚬 song I’ve ever heard and I hated it. I’m sorry, I sound so harsh and brutal but I am completely honest here ;-; also a skip because there are no surprises. Third one, Walk Of Life is a little bit more bearable, but very.. country meets rockabilly. Next, Your Latest Trick. I really like this intro, very soul with a beautiful synth sound and then… that fuckass sexy trumpet ruins it all. Not bad but skipped cause boring. Why Worry ? The fifth song on the album has a pretty intro and I like the melody and the sound of his voice on this one. It is a pretty love song I might agree. The Outro otherwise, is boring and so fucking 80s with these fucking marimbas and that reverb on the drum… Next, Ride Across The River. I liiiiike the synth melody, then when the guitar and drum are introduced, a mystic vibe is created, I like it. His voice, the lyrics and melody is so U2 meets Sting and meets The Police idk how to explain. This one isn’t bad at all. Bearable for the most part. The next tune is The Man’s Too Strong. I think this is my favorite one so far. It is the country folky sound I loooove. But the mastering is soooo 80s it ruins it a little, but my ears liked this one more than the others. Next one is One World and I wanna kms already•-• this bass sound is for funk and funk only. Fusion is also accepted but not whatever genre this song is. Didn’t like it at all and skipped. The last one is Brothers in Arms. I like the intro so far.. scared of what could happen right after. And there it goes. A mom and dad love song. In overall, this album is clearly not made for me. But it was fun to listen to something I ain’t used to. I think this album did not age well as it smells 1985 from very far away.. But I understand it could have left a cultural print onto the American rock scene of the 80s but don’t think it is revolutionary or extraordinary either.. I rate this album a 3.5/10.
