This was a solid reintroduction to Neil Young (I listened to Harvest a few years back). The vocals took me out of the album often, which is strange, considering Young is known for his vocals. The music was stellar though, easily proving this as a great album. The longer the song was, the better it sounded (in most instances). Gotta say, Cinnamon Girl near ruined this album. It is a dissatisfying first track to an otherwise decent folk rock album. The lyrics, the music, the vocals--god, the vocals--worried me for what I was listening to. Thankfully, it only got better, for the most part. Best Tracks (in no particular order): - Cowgirl in the Sand - Down by the River - The Losing End (When You're On)
