I actually groaned when I saw this was the first album I got. It’s a classic, and maybe because I’m divorced from the context, I sometimes feel like these iconic albums aren’t that great. Then I feel like I’m just being contrarian… which is annoying. Kinda happy to say I enjoyed this one, though. I’m honestly way too young to know Led Zeppelin. My only reference was 13-year-old me getting hyped when their song played in Thor: Ragnarok. On the album itself: I was disappointed by the first track. I thought, "Oh, that’s it?" But then the second track hit, and… wow. That’s when I caught their bluesy vibe and knew I’d like it. "Dazed and Confused" and the vocal style really won me over—I love eccentric vocals, and knowing that would continue made me love the album. So yes, it’s a good album. In fact, a great one. The only frustration is that some songs meander, there’s no reason they needed to be six minutes long.
