From the get go we start with the first track “Airbag” the sounds of this song bring a dystopian and dark feeling the lyrics along also mention war and heroism , though this song touches on how car crashes are life threats and “airbag” is what saves lives . The album explores many themes and elements from self reflection to political instability my favorite track is “climbing up the walls” track 9 this is said to be the scariest song on the album but to me it felt raw and real battling yourself sounds like climbing up the walls neutral and hunting. The album ends with track 12 “the tourist” which felt like a perfect ending to this album. The song talks about slowing down and enjoying what’s in front of you the band even goes as far as calling people who rush idiots but to me this felt like another way of saying slow down and really digest this album what you just heard. The song ends with a chime signaling the end of the album. I can see why this album is such a staple in today’s music industry, it brought feeling I never thought could be translated into a song.
