I can imagine cool people in the 70’s having this on after dinner smoking cigarettes and drinking red wine, lots of chunky boots and little silver trays of drugs. They’re not rich though, they wear orange and brown, have huge curly hair and thick dark moustaches. They smile and dance with chipped teeth and cut out stars plastered on the fridge. In terms of the music in a more traditional sense: I really really liked it a lot. It felt cool and easy to listen to, the early middle definitely gets a little bit samey but I didn’t mind because I LIKED the music they were being a bit samey about. The switch up at ‘there was a time’ was delightful and much needed. It made the album feel fresher. I hear the beach boys (especially on woodland rock) and the Beatles and I love them both so much so that’s always gonna be a good thing for me. A delight to listen to and I will be coming back to a lot of it. Mwah.
