Popular Reviews

This is the first album on this gimmick i don’t need to listen to to review. Let me be very hyperbolic, this is the greatest debut since 2000’s. 900k first week was crazy even when people still bought cds. Tracks 2-8 are my most iconic first runs ever, more specifically; Patiently Waiting, Many Men, In Da Club is generational. 50 Cent was Eminem’s first major co-sign, and label signee. Eminem had already solidified himself in music history by bringing hyper vulgar and violent rap to the mainstream, greatest selling hiphop artist of all time. Patiently Waiting having handfuls of 50 quotables and one of Eminem’s most memorable features (which is saying a lot), then In Da Club was a best which was given to Eminem first and he passed it to 50 who made it a DIAMOND single. Many Men showing even hardened gangster rap could still be a melodic jam. DEATH GOTTA BE EASY, CUZ LIFE IS HARD. fun fact for anyone still reading, at this time 50 Cent was feuding with melodic rapper Ja Rule. 20 years later during a Ja Rule legacy tour, 50 bought out the first 5 rows and left them empty for the show. In 2025 50 was executive producer for the netflix P Diddy expose’, which he only put on one cable channel; the channel which plays on the TV in the jail holding Diddy.

admittedly, as an outsider to music with guitars (lols) this album has maybe the top 5 genre defying songs that are not Nevermind. and one of the most meme-able sounds in all of music. important question: did eddie invent mumble-rap?

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf

queen minus freddie, well executed opera rock. won’t go back to it but won’t negate the quality because it’s not my style per se. 3.5 would be more accurate.
