1. Burning Wheel - felt like a nothing burger really? almost like i was listening to a set-up for a big and loud chorus(any other part really) and just didnt get anything at the end :/ 4/10 was my initial rating of this song, but after listening to the rest of the album i have to give it at least a - 6/10
2. Get Duffy - if i were to describe the song, i dont know if boring would be the right word. this sounds like a really forgettable song off an otherwise really good OST. inoffensive, but nothing really notable (i liked the sax? part around minute 1 though). - 5/10
3 .Kowalski - I feel like the song overstays its welcome quite a bit, and while i like it a lot more than the previous ones, it just becomes boring to listen to after about 2 minutes because you've basically already heard everything the song has to offer. a grand improvement but still a - 6/10
4. Star - hearing the synth bass at the beginning i expected finally something mean and energetic for once but i was disappointed once again. The lyrics sound very corny and nothing really to write home about, i feel like i already heard the instrumental on this album (im at song 4, jeez). And here i thought hippies were dead. Sounds like some satire on hippies really - 3/10
5. If They Move Kill 'Em - This one really got me vibing, really groovy, reminded me of old school hip-hop instrumentals, even though i havent really listened to any respectable amount of it. every instrument, every little pause feels very nice and tight (except for the sitar, really had me raise my eyebrow when i first heard it) loved this one, even though i wouldnt come back to it - 6/10
6. Out of the Void - boring, kind of tries to have like a spacey/trippy, yet intimate felling with the lyrics (i typically dont really listen and try to figure out the lyrics of songs on my first listen and this song wasnt an exception so idk about the real subject of those). inoffensive, samey instrumental, nice bridge/solo part (only lasted like 10 seconds tho), kind of annoying vocals? overall a - 4/10
7. Stuka - why is this thing almost 6 minutes long? one of the most insufferable songs i've ever had the unpleasure of sitting through. the instrumental parts (which i thought would be the better part of the album and lightened up when i realised this was an instrumental song, it wasnt btw) feel like a bad improv session (which i dearly hope it was). the robot voice is a thing of its time and maybe it was cool and innovative back then, so im not saying anything against it. awful, annoying, and for a lack of better words - straight ass. The crowd goes to - 1/10
8. Medication - Feels like a breath of fresh air, this kind of stuff has been done better, but its still a decent one compared to the other songs on this album. The vocals lacked emotion/passion for me - 5/10
9. Motorhead - No, not the good one, although it isnt as bad as i expected this to be. Would like if the guitars were a bit louder, and once again the vocals feel very forced and unemotional - 4/10
10. Trainspotting - this has no right being 8 minutes. the song literally feels like the second part was copypasted just to make the song longer for some reason. i could literally copy the entry for Get Duffy and still entirely represent what i feel about the song. very meh, very long, very - 4/10
11. Long Life - ngl enjoyed this one the most out of the album, didnt like some of the decisions made, but still probably the best song on the album, not a somewhat interesting or original one though. miles of artists do this kind of stuff better - 5/10
This was my first impression of using this site and i struggled to get through the first album it recommended to me :/
I dont get why people like this album
Average Rating: 4.3/10 (2.1/5)
tbh would leave 1/5 for how much of a letdown this was for me, really expected to be recommended something listenable :/
Favourite Song: If They Move Kill 'Em
Least favourite song: Stuka
I dont mind listening to this in the background, wouldnt listen on a daily basis, although the music is quite fun
