1001 Albums Summary

The Velvet Underground & Nico I can honestly see this album as something that would be used when discussing and teaching the history of music. It has a very defined, and cemented sound while encapsulating the time period. That being said, it’s not really my cup of tea I’m most situations, with ‘I’m Waiting For The Man’, and ‘All Tomorrow’s Parties‘. 3/5 for easily being able to respect and interpret the quality with context of the time frame, but as these are personal ratings, it really isn’t a 5* for me.

A loud, enticing start to an overall satisfying album. This was close to a no-skip album for me, but unfortunately a hand full of weak songs peppered through out brought this britrock odyssey from a 5/5, to a 4. favorite tracks: I’d Like to Know, and Lenny.
