1001 Albums Summary

I was surprised by how experimental this album is. This is my introduction to Jimi Hendrix, and I must say I’m a big fan! This album was like a hybrid of blues, rock, and sci-fi in the best way. The album commits to experimentation but does not sacrifice style and, the songs feel whole, not like a frankenstein creature. Though the binaural effect was pretty jarring at times, but I commend it anyway cs they achieved that effect (though not as smoothly) with none of the tech meant to produce it, and that’s genius to me.

loved the latin jazz rock feel, though at times i found myself wishing there were more riffs, but thats just preference. I’ll definitely reacg for this album again for some of its songs
