The Stone Roses
by The Stone Roses
It's fine, the musicianship here is definitely a highlight, Ian kind of brings this record down for me, I stick around mainly for the jammy sections of the tracks, the songs at its core are alright. The grooves are tight Gary and Reni on bass and drums are by far my favourite performers when they have their moments. Tracks 3 and 4 and cool, 4 especially with the reversed gimmick, apart from those songs I can't really find anything about this album that makes it as monumental as it is, bands that predate the group like R.E.M, New Order, and The Smiths has done this sound before, this record just has the production edge.
