011626_ when i immersed into grunge music, i orbited myself around alice, mlb, pearl jam, soundgarden and the likes. pixies, too, but i wasnt really the exploratory type, and from them i simply listened to several i can remember. doolittle (1989) is a great pick to introduce someone to grunge/alt. every intro of this album's song pulls you in with its distinct riff and twirls. listen, im not a music prodigy so forgive me for my lack of technicality about what i'm supposedly describing them, but you get where im trying to share across the table. la la love you left me a striking impression, and im thinking about saving it for a late night ritual to ponder over. the debaser to gouge away in-outro is how you select a song to be your first and your last!!!! it doesnt tell you to stop listening after the 15th track, it only means you go back to playing debaser AGAIN. anyway, wave of mutilation is my #1. also, dunno why but the way monkey gone to heaven was sung gives me so much of the idea that this was probably one of their songs that should've (deservedly) sung around by a certain glam rock artist (like bowie).
