The White Album
by Beatles
Incredible. In any other band this would probably be their best work. With The Beatles, however, depending on the day, it could slide down to fourth best. It's strength and weakness is its eclecticness, giving it a wide variety of flavors and colors. This also causes it to have too far a range and too long a leash to make it comparable to the likes of Blonde on Blonde, Sign Of The Times, or London Calling in terms of the tops of non-concept rock-oriented double albums.
