1001 Albums Summary

I’ve listened through this whole album for the first time during my freshman year of college. Somehow I spent my “formative” high school years I knew what all the good music was, then I grew a brain and a heart. The rest is history. It really shaped little moments and memories a lot more than I would care to admit. I would drive my roommate crazy by singing the chorus from “Some Girls Are Bigger than Others” over and over again, and I danced in the middle of the country road to “There is a Light That Never Goes Out” with the love of my life during the first summer we met each other. “I Know it’s Over” cradled me through heartache and pain, and “Bigmouth Strikes Again” gave me the extra boost I needed to complete my senior project for my philosophy major. Music floods my heart and ears like a warm tidal wave.
