At Newport 1960 by Muddy Waters
Jan 26 2026

I don't think this is my kind of music. Nevertheless, I do think that Muddy Waters is a good performer and vocalist. I did also enjoy the implementation of the harmonica and e-guitar. I'd say that my favourite tracks would be “I've got my mojo working“, I especially liked the element of call and response in that song. Still, I found the songs sounded all pretty much alike, but that is probably because I haven't listened to a lot of blues in my lifetime. I don't think I will be coming back to this, but I'm glad I have heard this album and can definetly hear Muddy Waters influence in a lot of future musicians

Boring. Man with an accoustic guitar and a harmonica philosophizing over the state of the world. Besides his lyrics there isn't anything mildly interesting on this album. The songs all sound the same to me and I find his voice unpleasent. I get why this album was important at that time, still I'd be happy to never hear it again.

Odelay by Beck

Interesting. I did like the genre blending and sampling, especially the hip hop elements worked for me. Still, it did get a bit to chaotic and incohesive for me at times. Hotwax was my favourite track

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Jan 29 2026

Pretty fun. I liked the harmonies and the use of instruments. The overall vibe is just great and sunny. A unique pop album that would great for a drive in the summer. Favourite tracks: Wouldn't It Be Nice and God Only Knows

Pretenders by Pretenders

80s teen movie montage music, but not in a bad way.
