I don’t really know what to say about this album. A part of me really likes it, and then the other half is thinking “what am I listening to right now” but tbf I think that’s what David Bowie is as a whole. I didn’t like the first two songs because I’m not fond of purely instrumental songs but “What in the World” was a pretty good song and I liked it. I thought Sound and Vision was also very nice. Very chilled out and it reminds me of my childhood, for some reason. I didn’t like Always Crashing in the Same Car, I can’t really place why but it just wasn’t my thing. The second I heard Be My Wife though, I knew I was going to like it. I thought it was a very interesting song and I thought it was pretty sweet. Warszawa was……. Interesting, I’ll give it that. Again, I can’t really tell if I like it not. Art Decade was very groovy and interesting. It reminded me of an indie game instrumental. Weeping Wall also made me strangely nostalgic but in a different way that Sound and Vision did. Subterraneans was a song that I quite liked. I really liked the synths and almost ethereal feel that it had. An album that I would’ve never listened to on my own, but I think it was a mixed bag overall. A lot of songs that I didn’t really fully understand, but I liked them anyways. 6/10
