Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen
Feb 05 2026

It's actually really funny that I was recently hating on Bruce Springsteen. I don't know why but his stuff from the 80s really rubs me the wrong way, I never liked them as a kid listening to my dad's favorite radio stations. Born to run though is such an epic song and is undeniably revolutionary in spirit. I'm still not a big fan despite feeling like I should like this, though it would be cool to by the xylophone player in this band.

Guero by Beck
Feb 06 2026

This album firmly places Beck in a place and time. His monotone sunshine is very LA and the keyboard effects and record scratching is recalling Incubus and Limp Bizkit (lol). Tbh I love him for it and I love this album.

Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Feb 11 2026

Wow it STARTS with tiny dancer. This album is extremely nostalgic for me as Elton John is my fathers favorite artist so there's no way for me to write an unbiased review. And Levon is one of my favorite songs of all time. I really have a new appreciation of the string composition - from violins that really amplify young Elton's emotional range, to even a sitar. I thoroughly enjoyed this but also felt 1001 other emotions as well <3

Repeater by Fugazi
Feb 12 2026

This is not my thing but I appreciate their contribution to emo later. On this album I really appreciated the pulsing bass line but idk I'm just not really a punk fan even tho again I appreciate its roots and history and stuff. It just doesn't do it for me. I appreciate this album and would listen if someone else put it on but i wouldn't pull it from the crate myself

Porcupine by Echo And The Bunnymen
Feb 19 2026

Echo and the bunnymen was the worst concert I've ever been to hands down. Not only did they make us wait for an hour and a half maybe more but the crowd was terrible and a gross obnoxious drunk man spilled a beer on my friend and another was creepily following us around which we told the obnoxious man about and he threatened to beat the other man up. I'm not over it and I never want to listen to them again except if I watch Donnie Darko again :/

Drunk by Thundercat
Feb 20 2026

thundercat is a musician for musicians. its undeniable that hes super talented - prob the best bassist of the 2000s. also he was on mac demarkos iconic tiny desk concert iykyk. i LOVE a few of his songs and i find some to be unlistenable. plz dont hate me. i just dont think i have an ear for his kind of jazz. i bet its super fun to play tho.
