So I listened to White Blood Cells in one sitting and can say it was an I album I did not necessarily or fully connect to sonically but loved thematically! - the exploration of heartbreak, their navigation of a newfound fame and what felt like politically charged messages at times, were just breathtaking! I wouId like to preface the above opinion with the fact that I have found quite a few pop, indie, garage, alternative and scene rock gems in my day, but wouldn't necessarily say I was ever able to fully connect to the rock genre in the way I wish (in my opinion). That being said, the pen was insane on the album. I really loved 'I Can Learn' and have since added it to 'akori orin' - my main playlist. The vocal and melodic choices in this song were lovely, kind of gave me the same feeling Grace by Jeff Buckley did upon first listen. In fact, I may just have to give this album a second listen to really clarify how I feel. Overall a solid album icl.
