Decent album. This kind of rock isn't my favourite, but some songs were quite enjoyable (Head Down and The Day I Tried To Live were nice). Big fan of guitar solos, and the ones in this album were really neat. The songs got a bit repetitive and way too long though. It's pretty generic for what you usually hear in this genre and honestly, only a few songs were solid.
Really loved it! It's not very flashy at all, but it's a really beautiful album nonetheless. The instrumentals were lovely and his voice matched the mood perfectly. With albums like this, they tend to bore me after the first five or so songs since they tend to get boring, but this was really enjoyable! Lost Cause and Sunday Sun were definitely my favourites.
Incredibly beautiful album! Can get slow and repetitive, but overall it's a really nice listen. Absolutely loved So Long, Marianne and Suzanne. The lyrics especially piqued my interest; they're just so poetic. Very close to a 5, but I think a 4 is fitting.
I don't think I've ever listened to an album in this genre, but it's definitely a nice breath of fresh air. The only word I would use to describe it is vibey? I almost never listen to music like this, but this album was quite enjoyable and his voice was incredible. The production in general wasn't great. I really liked You're Good For Me. More of a 3.7 to me, but I don't think it's quite good enough to be a 4.
Really fun album! At first, I thought they would've made the ridiculous length of the songs work, but yea I was wrong. The guitar solos are INSANE and the energy is immaculate. Decent variety despite the fact that these kind of albums and bands usually have really similar songs. It wasn't anything insanely special, but I had a blast listening to it so I think it deserves 4 stars. Lowkey makes me want to explore 70's rock more.
Radiohead's The Bends is one of my favourite albums of all time, so I feel a little disappointed to give Amnesiac quite low rating. It's definitely not one of their better works. I already knew I wasn't a big fan of their works past 2000, and I have listened to a couple songs from this album before, but really the only part of the album that I really like are the instrumentals. You And Whose Army? and Knives Out were really good listens though, but most of the other songs were kind of meh. The songs are sort of underwhelming in a way? They start off good and build up towards something, but most never really seem to reach it if that makes sense. It's just a pretty forgettable album.
Really loved it! It's definitely within the 'generic British rock band' type of music, but it was so fun nonetheless. Can't really explain why it sounds so addicting to me since it's definitely nothing extraordinary, but I like it a lot.
