Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
Feb 16 2026

I appreciate the blend of grittiness with the heavy and dark atmosphere of this album. Black Sabbath deserves props for pioneering a genre, and being so iconic in the heavy metal scene. Although, I perhaps feel that the historical significance and influence is lost on me as a listener, being personally not a fan of this type of music, I feel like this album could grow on me. This was definitely true of my second listen, and hopefully the same could be said of my third.

Hot Fuss by The Killers
Feb 17 2026

An album with infinite amounts of potentially and a couple of bangers, but let down by fatigue. Despite how much I enjoy many of the songs in isolation, its cumulative sound gets repetitive, giving it less of an identity than other albums I have listened to. If only they harnessed what clearly worked so well, instead, one gets left with a taste of artificialism.
