1001 Albums Summary

First the bad stuff: Most of the songs were so monotonous that you could skip the entire centre section for instance and not have missed anything. The songs and especially the lyrics were nicely written but the vocals kind of ruined everything. Nico???? Wtf was that? The actual singer sounds like an angel compared to her Jesus Christ. The vocals are seriously such a shame because the melodies are so nice and in combination with the lyrics some of the songs could be genuinely beautiful. Now the good stuff: I liked the sound of the instruments and how most of the songs told somewhat of a story. My fav songs are Heroin and Sunday Morning. I think I’ll Be Your Mirror would be such a good song if it weren’t for the terrible vocals. Overall, it’s a nice album and I think it’ll grow on me.
