1001 Albums Summary

Beatles vibes with bad lyrics. 'jesus hates faggots' is dumb. Broadly with exception of Outer Space (which I already knew) and TC & Honeybear the music is good and generally enjoyable but on the generic side - but the lyrics overall suck pretty bad and the music doesn't blow me away at any time.

I think a clear 3. It has a few songs which were quite good AND was an overall quite enjoyable listening experience. Favourites: We Are the Pigs; The Two of Us; Still Life.

Overall very boring, not my kind of music. This is 80s pop, especially 80s black woman pop. Nothing about it, nothing at all, struck me as exceptional or different in any way from mass popular hits (except being less successful and catchy).

music by an african american for african americans just doesn't appeal to me. why is it in the list ?
