1001 Albums Summary

I don't really have much to say on this, because my exposure to both swing and big band is so lacking that it may as well be non-existent. Yet, it was fun. I orchestral swing, even if I don't listen to it much. It's very much a "vibe" that's easy to sink into and just simply enjoy, and "The Atomic Mr. Basie" is no different. Favorite Track: Honestly, my issue is that they all sound more or less the same to my untrained ears, with some being slower-tempo while others are more rapid, bombastic swing. "The Kid from Red Bank" is a great opener, with a really playful piano solo.

That's a Lennon. Favorite Track: To be fair, none of these are particular faves of mine. I guess Imagine for its cultural weight, but Jealous Guy has a great melody, too.

Good vibes. Folk rock will always hold a special place in my heart. Favorite Track: Helplessly Hoping. Truly beautiful harmonization for a very melancholic song (I love it).
