SO FAR AWAY: Head boppin'. Love the keyboard inclusion and guitar. Lyrics a little repetitive but without being too grating, it fits the way he feels. Keyboard makes me think of Out of Touch a little. 3.5/5 MONEY FOR NOTHING: A classic, obviously. 5/5 especially the extended version WALK OF LIFE: Good old 80s country rock. Catchy. I'm not that into the bridge, though, for some reason. 3/5 YOUR LATEST TRICK: Oooh. Jazzy. I love the mellow, late night city street vibes of this song. 4.5/5 WHY WORRY: I can't say I was expecting this album to be so mellow. This one's a little TOO slow and soft in this very moment but it's sweet and I could see it being soothing. 2.5/5 RIDE ACROSS THE RIVER: Oh? This one is unexpected. Oh hell yes it's a Vietnam War song. Slow like the prev song but a little moodier and more atmospheric. 3.5/5 THE MAN'S TOO STRONG: Another dip into a Southern / folk sound. This one's pretty far up my alley. Like a more guilt riddled Sympathy For The Devil. 3.5/5 ONE WORLD: Starts off strong. I love the bass and the drama of it. 4/5 BROTHERS IN ARMS: An emotional farewell. This one's beautiful and has a little more punch than some of the other soft ones. 4/5 Favorite songs: Money For Nothing, Your Latest Trick, Brothers in Arms Overall rating: 4/5 Some strong songs and obviously Dire Straits as a band is incredibly talented, but overall personally prefer Love over Gold and more motion.
