1001 Albums Summary

My first The Rolling Stones album. The first song on the album is very good, full of energy, and it captures the sound the band carries throughout the entire record. This song reminds me of Apocalypto or Despair. The last track is an amazing closer. I do think the slower tracks are kind of weak or bland, they don’t do much for me. On some tracks, I find Mick Jagger’s performance very fitting and full of the energy the song needs, but on others, his vocals are a bit annoying and it just feels like he’s screaming in my ear to get my attention. Overall, I find this album enjoyable, but I don’t see myself coming back to it other than in a couple of tracks. My favorite tracks are: Gimme Shelter, Live With Me, monkey Man, You Can’t Always Get What You Want.
