Don’t stop ‘till you get enough - Upbeat tempo and real groovy beat. Michael pairs high pitched singing with catchy lyrics. Although it becomes a bit repetitive, overall it’s a really fun song. Rock with you - The drums and synth create a nice atmosphere, the usage of the synth build up to the lyrics is nice. Michael’s voice is outstanding, he has gone for a slightly deeper voice in this song contrasting with the first song. Could definitely dance to this song. Workin’ day and night - Michael’s heavy breathing/panting stands out very heavily in the beginning. The percussion sets a fast pace for Michael’s singing, making the song feel rather energetic. Get on the floor - Dramatic buildup at the beginning. Michael’s voice echoed by the background singers is a lovely addition. I enjoyed how his voice was used in the background alongside the instruments. Off the wall - Outstanding vocals combined with nice lyrics and a less chaotic background contrasting to the previous. Girlfriend - Michael’s calmer voice stands out immediately, highlighting the shift from energetic to relaxed. The do-do-do-do-do’s are fun. She’s out of my life - A beautiful opening followed by Michaels raw vulnerable voice and emotional lyrics - “She’s out of my life, and I don’t know whether to laugh or cry” Michael sings softly throughout the whole song, conveying his heartbreak and vulnerability. I can’t help it - A laid back song, displaying his admiration and love for someone, describing them as “an angel in disguise”. It’s the falling in love - Genuinely not sure whether the opening is a woman or Michael (sorry Michael) the instrumental and vocal buildup to the chorus was a good addition. Didn’t stand out much. Burn the disco out - I liked his little *hip* noise with his voice, beat creates the illusion that people are clapping along to the song. Fast paced groove with smooth vocals. Was beginning to grow tired of the album but this song brought the energy back, redeeming the album. A fairly good album, some songs become quite repetitive or just don’t stand out much. My top tracks are “Don’t stop ‘till you get enough”, “She’s out of my life”, and “Burn this disco out”. Overall a 3 out of 5, Michael’s vocals are outstanding, the only thing that held the album back for me was the repetitive lyrics and a few of the songs. A lovely first album from Michael.
