It was much more diverse than I expected and I enjoyed most of it. I had only heard the radio versions of the songs, and the album edits were more interesting.
Really enjoyed it, especially Walk on, Vampire Blues, On the Beach, Motion Pictures and Ambulance Blues. On The Beach resonated with me: I need a crowd of people but I can't face them everyday. I know it's about fame, but it's how I feel just interacting with colleagues, students, even friends.
This was a pleasant surprise! I never would have listened to this album and while it feels a bit monochrome, it's much better than I expected. How Much More, You Can't Walk In Your Sleep, and Skidmarks On My Heart are quite catchy, but the stand out for me was Tonite. It's a bit more raw feeling than the other tracks, and that chorus! I can see myself coming back to this track.
