immediately recognize first track - it was everywhere. had no idea duo band were from connecticut or this was their debut. out 2007, same year as neon bible and ga ga. recognize "the youth" - it's spacey, reminiscent of arcade fire chorus. "electric feel" i recognize. 70s disco groove, princey. spacey, trippy/psychedelic, chorus forward, bright, synthy. lots of layers and sound for just two musicians. "hipster supermarket music." this globalization of fashion on the cover looks tone deaf in 2026.
