I liked it. Would like to hear it on vinyl. I listened to the remastered version on Spotify and it seems like the dynamics got reduced.
Some great songs! Didn’t think I’d like it. More pop thank I thought. I thought the clash was more punk. Maybe it’s just this album.
I didn’t want to like it because it’s the classic audiophile album that it seems people only listen to it because of its production quality. But I did like it. I thought I would be more familiar with the songs because of its classic status but most of it was new to me. And now I want it on vinyl.
I’m surprised that this album is the one that won it. My desire to listen to the talking heads has majorly decreased for some reason. I saw one of John hamm’s character singing a talking heads song in a tv show and for some reason that rubbed me the wrong way and made me just not want to listen to them
Obviously a great album
Amazing!! Lively and dynamic. I want this on vinyl.
Enjoyable listen. Wide sound stage.. you could tell it was an early stereo mix. I didn’t connect with the album all that much but I appreciated it. Seemed like it was probably historically significant for a woman to be airing grievances about her deadbeat husband.
Kind of reminds me of the flaming lips but less psychedelic and more indie garage. I liked this album and will definitely return to it. I had always intended to listen to them but never knew where to start. I haven’t been giving any of these albums very many stars because I’m waiting for something to really hit me, I’m waiting to connect with something on a deeper level than just appreciation.
Another artist that I’ve wanted to get into but didn’t know where to start. I love how smooth her voice is. I had thought that her music was more up tempo rock. Her later stuff probably was. But this is smooth and pure.. Joni Mitchell/Joanna Newsom. Holy shit she was 19!?
I enjoyed it. Vocals were a little bit cobain-y. I keep on getting surprised by the album choice from the artists. A lot of the time I would assume that it would be a different album from that artist.
Damn!! I don’t know what to say. This is where deez nuts came from? Dont love it but I appreciate it.
I wasn’t paying attention to this enough when I listen to it. I’d love to put it on and get immersed in it, get lost in it. I didn’t do it justice by listening to it while working
So classic. Love how punchy it is.
Wow. I really like this album. I had it on in the background while doing a layup and I couldn’t hear it so I gave it another listen. Love its ethereal sound. Some Pink Floyd vocals. I will definitely return to it.
Love it! This was a nice entrance into trance.
Sonically it’s cool but I don’t like the brashness of the singing.
I guess it doesn’t get more classic than that! I’m gonna give it a 4 even though I didn’t connect with it all that much.
Listened to it two or three times because I wanted to figure out how to like it. But I couldn’t tap into it. It’s kind of how I imagine people wondering why someone would like mewithoutyou. Maybe I’ll try it again.
Loved it!
Eh. I don’t feel anything.
I don’t think I had heard this one. It’s pretty good. Interesting to hear an earlier one that doesn’t have any of their hits on it. Made it less annoying.
I feel pretty ambivalent to this. I’m starting to get 1960s and 1970s rock fatigue. It’s starting to blend together for me.
Surprised that I liked this one! I’ll return back to it.
