1001 Albums Summary

just a note, I do not know about Pixies or any of their work. So I went in blind. Since I listen to a lot of music, I do have one song liked from a different album of theirs, but honestly I don't remember it very well. I like the vibes of this album a lot. It's weird, wacky and at times aggressive. I feel like this is the most alt an album can get. It also feels like this is what influenced Mitski a lot in her music as other people mentioned! I didn't even think about that--but now honestly I can see it. It also reminds me of Mother Mother's music--they may be influenced by Pixies as well, I wouldn't be surprised if they are. I may listen to more Pixies going forwards since this album is so good! (I'm also a big alt album person).
