1001 Albums Summary

This will probably be the only album here I’ve already listened to fully beforehand… I got lucky today

I liked the vibe of it and I’d listen to some of the songs again, just not exactly my cup of tea. Good for vibey background music.

I know I’m not a rap or hip hop fan and this hasn’t changed that. Can’t really judge it since it’s just so different from what I like. Maybe it’s good for the genre, I wouldn’t know. The sound just felt the same every time and the beats were headachy and repetitive to me.

Not really my kind of rock. Feels repetitive and too lighthearted? Makes me think of an old-fashioned-traditional-romance-movie soundtrack mixed with classic American dream. The only song I actually sort of enjoyed was the album-titled The Stranger. Actually became kinda annoying after a while…

I was SO happy to see Black Sabbath on here after Billy Joel… I just love their moody growly sound, especially Ozzy’s vocals. It’s definitely something I have to be in the mood for to fully enjoy, but it’s a great album nonetheless, especially since it’s been so influential to heavy metal as a genre.

I really really like this album. Kinda makes you want to dance but like, in a cool retro way. Most songs I probably wouldn’t listen to daily, apart from Girl- reminds me of some of the more sombre Bowie songs.

I LOVE this sound. It has that later grunge twinge I love from the 90s but a loud rawness of 70s rocknroll, plus unapologetic vocals. Makes me want to embrace teenage rebellion and go graffiti some stuff or like… pierce my eyebrow.

So I didn’t actually listen to the whole thing… I liked the opening track instrumental but the rest wasn’t really my thing.

Love it as something to play in the background. I like thrash but I wouldn’t go out of my way to actively listen to it.

Another 3/5 for me. It’s groovy and pleasant but I would never choose to listen to it.
