Graceland by Paul Simon
May 28 2026

Mixed feelings on this one - You Can Call Me Al is amazing and an instant classic. Graceland, Diamonds and Boy in the Bubble are very good; the collaborations are weak and some of the songs belong on the Lion King Soundtrack - not here. Paul’s voice is in fine form and I’m happy to get a taste of his genius here.

Dusty In Memphis by Dusty Springfield
May 29 2026

Emotionally charged blue eyed soul with beautiful vocals. Son of a preacher man is a classic that I’ve play over and over again. A lot of depth in this album.

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Jun 01 2026

Wow - I underestimated this man. This album kicks - high energy coupled with great lyrics.

Darkness on the Edge of Town by Bruce Springsteen
Jun 03 2026

Never cared for his vocals, but respect his dedication to his craft and also his political stances. On this album, Prove It All Night & Badlands stand out as winners, but his voice isn’t my cup of tea!

Fear Of Music by Talking Heads
Jun 09 2026

Life During Waring is an epic song that never ages. The rest are good - some are too mellow or too similar.
