1001 Albums Summary

mid- rock, I just did not enjoy this album. i’m not an across the board hater of the vox continental, but i don’t like how The Doors use it, especially in this album. they are just very of the era and i don’t think it stands the test of time like some of their other songs. it’s not awful, just not the classic rock album i’d put on if i had the choice

good- electronic, super high energy, great for working out/warming up, also angsty and grungy, fun to be sassy to

good - r&b/soul. perfect for driving around with the windows open on a sunny day. the title track is so good

mid - rock, it’s not bad bc it’s the beatles but i’m just not super into this concept or style, i like “lucy in the sky with diamonds” , “within you without you” and “a day in the life”, the rest range from fine to unenjoyable. i’d listen as background music but prob not

great- glam rock, sometimes you forget what genuinely good music sounds like and then you listen to something like this album and you’re reminded. i love david bowie

great- singer/songwriter, i love this album and i have it on vinyl, there are so many bangers on this tracklist, you can dance to it, chill to it, feel warm and cozy with it. this is a listen in your room kinda album

good- technically rock but felt more pop, at first i wasn’t in the mood for 80s music, but this was really good and lots of fun. my favorite song is black money
