Debut by Björk

I really enjoyed this album. I can honestly hear a lot of modern pop inspiration here. She was ahead of her time.

This album is such an album. It really has to be listened to as an album. It's an album. And this is 1001 Albums. 1000 more to go.

Debut by Björk
Jun 03 2026

I really enjoyed this album. I can honestly hear a lot of modern pop inspiration here. She was ahead of her time.

From Elvis In Memphis by Elvis Presley
Jun 04 2026

Man, this really brought me back to my Grandma’s house on her old record player. I don’t personally know too many people who listen to Elvis outside of the novelty of “Hey, it’s Elvis!” but dang, he really is the King.

Arrival by ABBA
Jun 08 2026

This little twink loves ABBA. I don't know any band that sounds similar to them. Such a fun album with a nice flow.

Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin
Jun 09 2026

This album is where I started to realize I like Led Zeppelin more slowed down and folky. Immigrant Song is an iconic opener, but I really enjoy some of the softer tracks on this album, like That’s the Way.

Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones
Jun 10 2026

I think I could almost give them is album 5 stars. Dad rock, which I wasn’t really in the mood for, but I ended up really enjoying it and I think it’s a very coherent album. Great opener and great closer. Highest 4 star ranking so far.

LP1 by FKA twigs
Jun 11 2026

I could see how this album could be hit or miss. Alternative and modern. It sounds like 2015 to me. I emjoyed some of the tracks on here, and I slowly got more sucked in the more I listened. I really liked 2 Weeks. I would honestly compare this to the Bjork album I listened to earlier, but 2015 version. 3 stars feels right.

After The Gold Rush by Neil Young
Jun 12 2026

I think this one will go in the four star bucket. It's a folky album that I think I'd enjoy more upon further listen and analysis of the lyrics. As for now it's better off as background noise for me. Not really a huge fan of Neil's voice, but this also reminds me of Neil's friend Joni who's voice struck me as a bit different at first and ended up being by one of my favorites ever. Okay okay okay. 4 stars.

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd
Jun 15 2026

5 tracks. 3 stars. Look, it's good music, and wish you were here is a 5 star song. I just don't feel the need to ever listen to this again. I already gave Dark Side 5 stars a couple of weeks ago, I can't turn around and do it again for this one. I just have trouble resonating with an album with 5 songs and barely any lyrics, but that's not to say it's bad.

I have a Smiths poster hanging up in my room. This just sounds like music to me. It's weird, but in a way that I like. Morrissey's froggy voice just sounds like the month of November to me. He can do the same thing every time and I'm gonna eat it up. The Smith's could release a 5 track album with barely any lyrics on it and I'm still gonna eat it up. I know there are other albums to come, so I'm only gonna give this one 4 stars, but it's the best of the best 4 stars so far. My favorites are Death of a Disco Dancer, Stop Me if You Think You've Heard this One Before, and Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me.

Ten by Pearl Jam
Jun 17 2026

Love it. Love it love it love it. My face lit up when I saw that I'd be getting to listen to the sweet pipes of Eddie freakin Vedder on this June 16th. This is one of my favorite albums ever, banger after banger. I love Eddie's voice, I love every song. This is dad rock I can get behind.

Oxygène by Jean-Michel Jarre
Jun 18 2026

Okay Geometry Dash! I will probably never listen to this again, it started out as 2 stars for me, but I think it rose to 4 honestly. It sounds like the Stranger Things soundtrack, or any 80's movie for that matter. I really got sucked in and focused. Thanks random French guy!
