With The Beatles by Beatles

Immediately I want to go listen to Daytripper instead Bass boost actually helps, but vocals only in the right ear? Track 1 I liked the outro John Lennon looks weird w/o glasses 'Don't Bother me' has kind of a James Bond OST type of feel 'Till There was you' has a nice Bossa vibe Boy, some Beatles songs really blend & blur together This album is quite heavy on their early pop-sound, but not the real bangers But I might have my tastes biased by the '1' album and Sgt. Pepper. But I would definitely rather listen to those than this album 'I wanna be your Man' has a good high-energy start There's some good vocal harmonies in this album, but it's kinda hit or miss Sometimes I don't enjoy their 'Chuck Berry' type rock songs, but sometimes I do, like my enjoyment flips back and forth during the same song. The Beatles are not great at "rock'n'roll screams" or whatever you would call it, 'The Who' does it better. 'Devil in her Heart' makes me feel like I'm going to Prom with Velma from Scooby-Doo, and I don't hate that... I like the piano riffs in 'Not a Second time' 'Money' has a fun intro. Is this a cover? Yes it is. I don't like this one much. Not a great fit for my tastes. I'd give a D+, maybe C- just for technical quality. Sounds pretty samey and ends with a cover song, a bit of a let down. I don't think i've heard any of these before actually, except for Postman. I could really go for some Lady Madonna type stuff instead.

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan

This album wasn't for me. I did like the harmonica playing on some songs.

Reggatta De Blanc by The Police
Jun 17 2026

'Message in a Bottle' being a big hit is hard to follow, but there's good stuff still to be had in this album. 'Walking on the Moon' was one of the stand-outs for me. I enjoyed the sharp twangs and reggae inspired guitar playing spread throughout the album. "Contact" also feels similar in sound to some other Police hits, makes me think of "Don't stand so close to me". A couple funky tracks i'd call "experimental". A good listening experience.

Aqualung by Jethro Tull
Jun 18 2026

I think this is the album I've enjoyed most since starting these recommendations.

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Jun 19 2026

The kind of weird that I like.

Arrival by ABBA
Jun 29 2026

I unironically like disco. This album has a couple tracks fall flat like 'Happy Hawaii' and 'Why did it have to be me'. But it also has some real hitters like 'Money Money Money' and a new personal fave for me 'Tiger'.
