Did not notice the "save" button so my notes have disappeared, but I guess that's okay because now I can summarize what I thought. It feels rough, which I think adds a kind of "intimate" feeling to the album. The melody of the pre-chorus of Only Love Can Break Your Heart is very nice (After looking the lyrics up, I realize it is the second half of the verses). The intro of Don't Let It Bring You Down feels very Kate Bush. Was he Christian? Does "good book" in Southern Man mean the Bible? I've noticed he layers lots of vocals and rough harmonizing. Also, I noticed he uses lots of rhetorical questions in his writing. The ending felt a bit abrupt and incomplete, however. I think my favorite song is Only Love Can Break Your Heart.
