Lots of 12 string guitar ballads, excellent and memorable lead lines, Don Henley and Glenn Frey bring warm, smooth and elegant vocals with tracks like “wasted time” fast becoming my favourite. The production on this album is exceptional also big fan of that.
I feel like a detective sat drinking a black coffee in a 1950s Diner, Mr Incredible in the glory days, really interesting motifs and ostinatos. A great album to listen to in the shower as someone who hasn’t really experienced jazz like this before I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
