1001 Albums Summary

Honestly a very mellow start to the album. Not super interesting but definitely emotional and melancholic, which can appeal to some people, but I can't say I'm a fan considering some of the other music of the 60s is much more intriguing while carrying that same tone. Also seems like the singers just get overpowered by the background music; not much power to their voices at all and the beat is way too loud. Interesting beats throughout but they don't actually land very well. Honestly the songs sound repetitive and way too pitchy. Overall, very uninteresting in my opinion. Definitely good for like some background noise but I wouldn't say it's intriguing beyond that.

A very good listen. Definitely some of the best Latin music I’ve ever heard because of how rich the voices and the music is.

Very mellow. Not a lot of vocal elements and very instrumental. Not a huge fan because of the lack of interesting vocals or sounds in general. A decent album nonetheless, it could be worse.

Veeeryyy weird. I’m certain there’s an audience for this type of music but it really just put me on edge and freaked me out. A friend of mine would love it, though, so if you like cool ambience and just interesting songs without lyrics, definitely give a listen. Very uncanny and creepy sounding though. Not my cup of tea.

I really enjoyed this mix of rock and pop. The 70s had a lot of this but I really liked how diverse Joan was throughout this album. Very melancholic and cozy!!

Reminds me a lot of the Beatles in a good way. Not a huge fan of the more mellow rock from the 70s/80s but it’s definitely good. I wouldn’t replay personally, because it wasn’t too outstanding but the vibes were good so that’s enough for me.
