1001 Albums Summary

I never realised how many of her most beloved songs were released posthumously. Her voice is so strong and powerful that it's almost impossible to believe that it went silent so soon but even without the tragic backstory this album is exactly what I hoped to find here. I knew the hits I knew it existed but now I don't know why I never listened to it fully back to back in my life. It's simply beautiful. The song Mercedes Benz spoke more to me than usually in between the other songs, it's such a nice break in the loud music to just listen to the voice alone. But the moment that won't leave my head for long is her rawr at the beginning of cry baby. It's hard to process how young she was while crafting such a masterpiece
