It's pretty bland and just a bit boring. It's is not bad by any means just not the most exciting or interesting album ever. I do like it, I like the way it sounds and flows and I really like the vibe of it, but it just didn't really do it for me. It's is your basic underground 60's rock band. I can understand why it may be popular (especially at that time), but I don't think it's as good as people may make it. I don't think I'll visit it again in the future, but it isn't unimaginable that I do (maybe some of the songs). My favourite was definitely Candy Says. I did really, really like that one, so it obviously made it to the playlist!! There were also others that i did like and add to the playlist, but there were also quite a lot that i thought was just a little too long, since almost all of the songs are about 4-5 minutes long which can make it feel like it's a bit dragged out. I will say that most of the songs weren't repetitive at all, which i really appreciated, because sometimes that can get a bit annoying, but that didn't really happen with this album. I think to form a general opinion on this band, I would have to listen to their other stuff because based on this album i can't really tell if I like them or I'm not really a fan. Overall I think this album wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. I'd say it was on the little bit better side of decent.
I really, really like the vibe of this album. At times it does get a little repetitive (especially in Maybe Your Baby, which is a really long song, because of the constant repeating of a line, so it does feel a bit dragged out). It can also get a bit boring, since it's a very chill, calm album, but I usually didn't really mind it. I have noticed, that on older albums the tracks are quite a lot longer than the tracks on newer albums, and this is an example of that. Most of the songs are pretty long, but i think there's a nice balance, since there are also shorter/usual length songs on it, even though I'm not the biggest fan of songs that are a lot longer than 4 minutes. I think that this is a great album to throw in the back when you're chatting with someone, crafting, having a drink, because it's very chill, but not boring at the same time. Don't get me wrong it's also good to just listen to regularly. I can see myself revisiting it at some point, just probably not too often. This was the first album that I listened to from Stevie Wonder, and it left a good impression, so I'll probably give some of his other albums a listen as well sometime.
I had pretty high expectations going into this album, and it did not dissapoint. I really did enjoy it, especially the beginning (maybe because by the end I wasn't in a great mood, completely unrelevant to the album). Before this, I had ony heard about 3 Elton John songs that i really do like, so I was kind of expecting that vibe. I love Elton Johns voice, and the way he sings. He has some songs that made me laugh a bit beacuse of the lyrics and the meanings of it (Dirty Little Girl, All The Grils Love Alice). Some of them were also quite sad, the way that they sounded and the lyrics (Sweet Painted Lady, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road). I will say, when i saw that the album was morethan an hour long, inwas kind of freading it, beacuse i don't really like long albums, and I do feel that this was maybe a little too long, but in the end I didn't really mind, because it was really just a great album. I was also a little scared when I saw the first track being 11 minutes long, but that was also a really good track, I just don't think I'll be listening to it, because of the duration. This album wasn't doing too much, but it kinda was at the same time, in the best way possible. I can definitely see myself listening to it, and other albums of his in the future.
I honestly don't really have a lot of notes on this one. I liked all of the songs, because I love the vibe of it, the way that it sounds, and I just really love Simon John Charles Le Bons voice and tone. The songs also kind of all sounded the same (not all, and not completely), but I don't really mind. They were a little too long for my liking, but that's fine. The album basically has a perfect duration, it isn't too long, but it isn't that short either. I did really, really like this one!!
